On Sunday, October 11, we will join with many others from around the Fox Cities to participate in Church World Service’s annual CROP Walk. Consider joining us on the walk by signing up at church or online. If you can’t join us but would like to help, you can also donate at church or online. Use this link to sign up or donate (or both!).
Congregational United Church of Christ is Building with Habitat!
Beginning on October 6th, The Congregational United Church of Christ will begin building the 201st Habitat for Humanity home in the greater Fox Cities area. Through the dedication and generosity of our members, we will celebrate the legacy of our involvement in the beginning of Habitat in the Fox Cities by building the 201st new home. All are welcome!
The Congregational United Church of Christ of Neenah/Menasha represents a diverse gathering of faithful people from all walks of life. We value the personal relationships that are formed through a community of acceptance and love. We do so, not because it’s the popular thing to do but because it’s the right thing to do. We believe it’s a reflection of the God who is revealed in Jesus Christ. We joyously serve Neenah, Menasha and the entire Fox Valley area of Northeast Wisconsin.
Worship is the central activity of our life together as a congregation. We offer thanksgiving to God through a blended style of worship, combining traditional hymns and modern songs. We value both the classic sounds of a pipe organ as well as the beauty of the piano. Our choir sings from September – May, taking one Sunday a month off so that other special music can be offered. The choir offerings cover a diversity of styles from modern gospel to traditional anthems.
We love and value the presence of children in worship and encourage them to sit up front so they can see and interact with the service better. If families prefer, children ages five and under are welcome to hang out in our nursery. From September through May, the nursery is staffed with trained volunteers.
Sermons are Biblically based and serve to educate about the Bible and relate life issues with faith.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. We rejoice to celebrate an open communion table, recognizing that Christ is the host and invites all to participate. We use non-alcoholic grape juice and offer gluten free alternatives.
